ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN III 1859-JM

McLaughlin Research Corporation’s San Diego location is actively seeking a Full-Time Engineering Technician at Sea Operations Support in Point Loma, CA.

 

The qualified candidate will be responsible to support underwater vehicle operations during at sea evolutions.

 

Tasks may include:

 

  • Perform logistics, operations/maintenance/replenishment procedures during the mobilization/demobilization period prior to going to sea.

 

  • While at-sea, the Engineering Technician III shall operate vehicle controls (under direction of the project lead/test director), prepare/deploy/operate undersea vehicle support equipment (such as acoustic communications equipment, buoys, and lines), perform operations/maintenance/replenishment procedures as directed by the project lead.

 

  • The Engineering Technician III shall be trained and qualified to perform gas-free procedures/enter confined spaces and operate/use scaffolding/fall-safety equipment.

 

  • Estimate 4 at-sea operations, each estimated to be 2 weeks in duration.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • The Engineering Technician III performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently.

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • DoD Secret Clearance

HVAC MECHANIC (Ref. #1866-JM)

Actively seeking a Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) Mechanic to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division Facilities Department Code 102 at Norco, CA.  This is a Full-time position and requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Install, modify and repair HVAC systems, chillers, and air Handlers

 

  • Test, calibrate, and adjust temperature control and environmental control systems

 

  • Install new or repaired components and perform complex modifications of systems and components

 

  • Perform complex repair of systems components such as compressors, condensers, heat pumps regulators, fluid and refrigerant gas lines valves, meters, gages, thermostats, pumps, mechanical linkage, and electrical sensing, switching and controlling devices including pneumatic controls, variable speed drives, digital controlled devices, electronic, hydraulic heating and cooling and economizer systems

 

  • Perform periodic maintenance of install equipment and components

 

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and hold DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Clean driving record
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

McLaughlin Research Corporation’s Corona, CA location is looking to fill an immediate opening for an On-Call Office Mover/Material Handler.

 

Position Description

 

Seeking candidates to support base office moves as needed. Typical office moves involve disassembly and reassembly of office furniture including desks, tables, cabinets, chairs, and associated office and laboratory fixtures.

Work under this task will primarily be performed at NSWC Corona, CA. Work may also be performed at NWS Fallbrook, CA and NSWC Seal Beach, CA.

This is a part-time, on-call position and may involve weekend work to accomplish tasks.

 

We are currently seeking Material Handler-Part Time on Call for our location in Corona, CA.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance required; current clearance a plus.
