ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Ref. #1842-RC)

Description

 

Immediate Full-Time opening at NUWC, Newport, RI for an Electrical Engineer to support review, development, production, integration, test and operation of hardware and software in Lightweight and Heavyweight Torpedo systems.

 

  • In this position, the engineer will be responsible for reviewing Lightweight and Heavyweight Torpedo specifications, procedures, and processes.
  • Providing support in systems engineering functions to allocate requirements to subsystems based upon higher level requirements and interface control documents.
  • Providing support in reverse engineering of existing analog circuit designs.
  • Providing support in analysis of hardware circuit schematics, read cable drawings, interpret existing signal requirements and establish new signal requirements based upon defined interfaces.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • BS in Engineering from an accredited university
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance required; current clearance a plus.
