Job Description

Actively seeking an Engineering Technician 4 to help support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division Acquisition Readiness Assessment Department at Norco, CA.  This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.


Essential Job Functions

  • Provides support to the Material Readiness Database acting as subject matter expert on various U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems.
  • Provides support in the areas of editing Fleet failure data, technical analysis, failure classification, research and cross reference of technical data, and preparation of data for input.
  • Performs file verification, data validation, update and maintenance.
  • Provides technical support at customer and IESA program reviews.
Background in any/all of the following is preferred:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 6 years of experience on U.S. Navy or related applicable systems
  • Experience on specific HM&E knowledge preferred on some or all of the following systems: Main Steam Systems, Diesel Engines, and other ancillary equipment to include: HP air, Chilled water, ballast/deballast, AFFF, Helo Hangar Doors, Aircraft Elevators
  • Experience with MRDB Database software, New Generation software, Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
