Job Description


MRC seeks a Full-Time Health and Safety Administrator to help support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport Safety and Environmental Branch in Keyport, WA.  This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsible for identifying, reviewing, and approving hazardous material utilized in the workplace.  Training employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations as they relate to Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) and Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M).  Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensure necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines.  Interface with and update data systems used to authorize and track hazardous material usage and HAZCOM training.


Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the safety field.
  • Experience with Environmental reporting, specifically EPCRA and Hazardous Waste Reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Must obtain a DoD secret security clearance prior to starting.
