Job Description

MRC is currently searching for qualified personnel to become a 3D Graphic Designer at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI.

Required Qualifications:


  • Provide technical and conceptual support skills to a wide variety of programs and projects in support of NUWC DIVNPT.


  • Ability to create 3-dimensional scenes, models, renderings and animations of various engineering and hypothetical products.


  • Ability to depict proof of concept prototypes with minimal plans or description into easily understood and compelling artwork.


  • Ability to interpret blueprints and sketches into realistic objects and scenes.


  • All around knowledge of video production methods and special effect generation. Comfortable working with SME’s, engineers and scientists.


  • Creative problem-solver, with strong ability to prioritize and multi-task.


  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk Maya, Unity, SolidWorks, Mudbox or Substance Designer. Trapcode, Vue and other assorted graphic software is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Associates with ample exceptional experience considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of NUWC/Navy product areas and ability to work will all levels of the Command.


Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully obtain an Active Security Clearance – Secret Level.
  • All around expert, creative and resourceful types needed.
  • Unity and Maya experience is highly desired.
