Job Description

MRC has immediate openings for Information Assurance Support at NUWC Keyport.

This position will provide IA support to include all steps using the Risk Management Framework process to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) for existing and future systems.  Perform system administration and IA/Patch management functions.  Maintain system integrity and connectivity, ensure compliance with information security policies and maintain system backup and recovery capabiity.  Review Information Assurance & Vulnerabilities Assessments (IAVA) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) for supported operating systems, implement and verify the implementation of the fixes.  Ensure compliance by using mandated and government-provided automated scanning tools, and provide mitigations as applicable.  Document system configuration and create images utilizing various tools.

Background in any/all of the following is preferred:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a TS security clearance with an SSBI
  • Awarded and current certification(s) sufficient to be designated an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II or higher in accordance with DoD 8570 requirements.
  • Certified Training in the use of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Certified training in the use of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) RMF or the older DISCAP (C&A)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP certification desired.
  • Familiarity with DoD 8500.1, DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF).
