Job Description

Open position to provide program support to Code 85 at the Department level. Position available for a thoughtful, skilled, independent individual to provide administrative and program support to the USW Weapons, Vehicles, and Defensive Systems Department at NUWC Division Newport.

Duties include: excellent organizational skills, ability to proof and generate quality products in accordance with Navy, DOD and NUWC Division Newport established procedures and instructions, effectively communicate rules and regulations to administrative and program support team, ensure smooth transition and flow of Department products in and out of management offices, action item tracking, scheduling and execution of high visibility meetings, and able to make sound decisions and direct team members with assurance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to function independently and as a team member in an active and demanding work environment.
  • Must have Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and interface/interact with a variety of personalities at all levels of the department.
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively to best provide the required support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing support at the Department level.
Background in any/all of the following is preferred:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
