Job Description

Member of corporate management team for a privately held, small business defense contractor with an exceptional reputation for employee excellence and retention. Directly responsible to company executive management for coordinating the organization, writing/editing, production, and submission of technical, performance, management, and personnel/facility resource-related responses to government contract requests for proposals (RFPs). Fully involved in business development planning and decision process, ranging from long-range research and analysis of opportunities through short-deadline conception and creation of meticulously accurate, written and graphic materials for inclusion in RFP bid responses.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS: English, Journalism, or Mass Communications: Business or Management; or Scientific, Technical, or Defense Industry-related Discipline.
  • At least 5-7 years’ demonstrated ability to organize and use source material to write/edit properly formatted, grammatically correct written technical and/or business-related documents under deadline.
  • At least 3 years’ experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs to create print documents and PowerPoint presentations in accordance with set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, and style.
  • Comfortable with the adaptation and implementation of innovative technologies and methodologies, particularly in the areas of information and workflow management.
  • S. citizen. SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ military service or defense contractor management-related experience (in support of U.S. Navy highly desired); or at least 3 years’ experience with PMP certification.
  • Experience in the development of staffing or similar resource-related plans for projects.
  • Experience involving interpretation of and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (a plus).
