Records Management Analyst (Ref. #1789) (DR)

MRC seeks a Full Time Records Management Analyst to support NUWC Division Newport. Qualified candidate will primarily work with the Command Records Manager on policies and procedures for the Command adhering to the records management life-cycle requirements. Position requires periodic training of government and contractor personnel on the standard operating procedures for records transfer, etc.

The qualified candidate will provide the following support:

  • Develop plans for ensuring efficiency and compliance when transferring records to either the Federal Records Center or the National Archives.
  • Provide records management training for government and contractor personnel on a weekly basis.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for Records Management.
  • Collaborate with the Records Management Community of practice across the NAVSEA Warfare Centers to develop and implement the Electronic Records Management System.
  • Provide one-on-one sessions with various departments determining document management policies to facilitate efficient and secure access to electronic content.


Completion of the following courses is a plus: Records Management Training Program at the National Archives: KA2 – Creating and Maintaining Agency Business Information, KA3 – Records Scheduling, KA4 – Records Schedule Implementation, KA5 – Asset and Risk Management and KA6 – Records Management Program Development. Coursework in support Records Manager certification.


Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Candidate requires 5-10 years’ experience.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
