Job Description


Seeking a Part-Time Safety Representative to help support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport Safety Branch in Keyport, WA.

This position is a combination of field and desk work. Must have Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.  Must be capable of climbing on roofs, entering confined spaces, and boarding ships. Experience in developing training modules. Database entry and tracking of actions. Capable of writing reports and articles. Successful applicants will support the following Navy Programs: Navy Occupational Safety and Health Inspections (NAVOSH), Command Zone Inspections, NAVOSH Deficiency Abatement, Facility Design Review, Energy control, Self-Assessment of OSHA Programs, NAVOSH Documentation, Emergency Management, Machine Guarding, Lockout/Tag out, Fall Protection, Weight Handling, Respiratory Protection, Lead Program, Asbestos Program, and Web-based Information Support

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional knowledge with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the safety field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Must obtain a DoD secret security clearance prior to starting.
