Job Description

MRC is looking for software professionals who will work directly with the Torpedo Systems Engineering Division Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, in support of development, production, integration, test and operation of hardware and software in Lightweight and Heavyweight Torpedo systems.  Duties for these positions may include, but are not limited to: Providing support in the development and review of C/C++ Programming;  Providing support software development, design and documentation; Providing support in developing/updating software engineering processes (CMMI or similar); Providing support software change management; Providing support in development and analysis of electronic circuits utilizing MATLAB programming. Candidates for these positions should have good oral and written communication skills as well as a knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Required Qualifcations:  Applicants must have an active, or be eligible for, US Government Secret security clearance. Candidates must possess at least three of the following skills: Experience with MATLAB and/or C/C++ programming; Software Development, Design and Documentation; Systems Engineering Processes with respect to Software (CMMI or similar); Software Change Management / Clear Case; Software Testing and Regression Compatibility. Prerferred Qualifications: Knowledge of any of the following would be preferred: Prior Torpedo experience; Acoustics; Robotic Control Systems; Data Analysis / Signal Analysis; Middleware Layer; Hardware layer; VxWorks; DOORS.
