Hometown:
Westport, MA

BA from UMass Amherst, MS from Northeastern University

How I came to be an MRC employee:
I was searching for an opportunity a little closer to home after years of long Boston commutes. Also, being a Veteran, I was drawn to MRC’s military support mission.

What I like best about working at MRC:
MRC is a place that cares about its employees. Folks are friendly and helpful and MRC is deeply established and respected in its space.

How my work contributes to the overall mission of the Navy:
I look forward to establishing myself as a trusted advisor to the hiring leaders and candidates who apply to our openings. My goal is to uncover diverse pools of talent and to drive the recruiting process relying on industry best practices. Hiring great people to support our Nation’s defense is an important and meaningful result of our collective efforts.

Pivotal career moments/experiences:
I have supported hiring at a variety of companies for close to 25 years.  Calling up and extending offers of employment to excited candidates is the best part of my job and it never gets old.

Hobbies/Personal interests:
I enjoy landscaping projects like building traditional stone walls (smashed fingers aside). I try to spend as many summer days as possible at the Westport Town Beach and hiking/biking the local trails. I’m a regular volunteer for the Buzzard’s Bay Coalition, a non-profit that works to improve the health of the Bay ecosystem.

Career advice:
The job you are in now might not be the one you stay in, but that doesn’t mean that the connections you make with the people there won’t be long-lasting. Endeavor to view each person as valuable and worthy of your time and consideration. You never know how a person can add to your life professionally or personally if given a chance.
